I have spent 3665 hours playing Team Fortress 2.

I have spent 3122 hours playing Dota 2. The total is now 6787.

I have spent 2593 hours playing Hearthstone Battlegrounds. The total is now 9380.

We’re not done with Hearthstone. Now we need to do some basic math. Let’s err on the lower side.

I used to be quite the Hearthstone Arena player. We’ll ignore the Battlegrounds count since it already has a total.

Let’s estimate an average result of 6 wins, 3 losses, which is a good winning record. Even if this estimate is high, it will estimate a lower loss count. Half of the games were losses, which are not accounted for in the screenshot.

Assuming an unreasonably short estimate of 5 minutes per game:

• 2780 wins + 1390 losses = 4170 games
• 4170 * 5 minutes = 20850 minutes
• 20850 = 347.5 hours
• Round down to 347

The total is now 9727 hours. We’re still in 4 digits, so maybe I didn’t waste my life after all.

Oh. I also played the main Hearthstone game.

We can use the same magic math as before:

• 12914 wins + 6457 losses = 19371 games
• 19371 * 5 minutes = 96855 minutes
• 96855 = 1614.25 hours
• Round down to 1614

The total is now 11341. For three games.
